9/2009 Now to see what is under that floor?

Now to clean up the maze of air lines. At least now I have a little better access.
I wonder how the drivers seat ever stayed in place.
Top of the air beams look OK only surface rust but nothing a little sand blasting and paint won't fix.
Can only guess what I will find next.

Yes that is Bondo. Someone thought Bondo was a good replacement for rotted wood.

Heater core and evaporator housing home for last resident of bus.

Last known resident of the bus.

His home in the heater core/AC evaporator bay. I bet that would have smelled good on a hot day!

8/29/2009 My best helper ( Xander my grandson)

Xander's ready to go to Disney!
Xander makes sure the windows work

Xander ready to help jack up the bus.

8/2009 Now to remove the non functioning OTR AC.

Evaporator was Very stubborn and didn't want to come out.

Empty compressor area (plenty of room for future generator)

Remove old condenser.

8/2009 A Day at the Spa! (The old girl gets a pressure washing)

Amazing what a simple bath can do.

A little more than a simple car wash.
I was actually growing.

Finally in the drive, now I can start really exploring.

Dad come over to see what I got, He thinks I am NUTS.

7/25/2009 PD4501805 Arrives at it's new home.

Now to just get if off the trailer.
Almost there!
Half an hour of jockeying and we finally get past the turn.

We back up traffic, It's to long to make the turn into our small street.

7/2/2009 Worked all day to realise it could not be made road worthy without a LOT of work.

DA BOSS checks out the "Good Stuff"

Topped fluids and could only control from rear due to old wiring and rodent damage.
Tires are to far gone . As well we found someone had started to cannibalise the brake system.
It took a while but we did get it running.

7/2/2009 First photos turned out to be 5 years old after we drove 1200 Miles to take a look

Bus was actually store in a garbage sorting yard and had been partially disassembled.
It was also used as a storage shed for the "Good Stuff" someone found in the garbage.

I guess we heard it calling us to save it from the scrapper.

So after 1200+ miles and more than 20 Hrs of driving why not work on it all day to see if it could be made to drive home. ( We are dreamers after all)

First photos from previous owner
